Pvt. E. J. Gibbon, S. C., took a photo in December 1918 looking down the slopes of Cope 252, located in Dun sur Meuse, France. The photo shows the town of Brieulbes sur Meuse, which was taken from the enemy by the 80th Division, 3rd Army Corps, on November 1, 1918. It also depicts captured German trenches and barbed wire entanglements from the last phase of the Argonne Meuse Offensive by the 5th Division, 3rd Army Corps, on November 5, 1918.
