Y., 1861, 2, 5. He mar-ried, in 1808, Mary Comfort, wlio died at Wheatland, 1878, 7, 20,the daughter of John and Mary (Woolininj Comfort of Falls town-ship, Bucks Co. Moses Doane was the only child of the outlawMoses and Rachel (Tomlinson) Doane, and was nearly three yearsold when his father was killed in llalseys tavern. He lived withhis uncle, Samuel Tomlinson, who gave hirn a trade, a horse and apromise that he would do well by hira. The uncle died, withouta will, leaving his promise unfulfilled. After his marriage settled, first, in Falls township where he purchased a farm fortwenty-five hundred dollars. Yielding to the persuasion of his uncle,Joseph Doane the refugee (228), he migrated to Canada sometimeafter 182^. He lived in Canada
