Infineon MEMS (MicroElectroMechanical System) microphone wafer. MEMS microphones are installed in nearly all modern smartphones. The image shows the complete MEMS wafer with the connection bond wires on the right side of the image. The MEMS is mounted together with the amplifier wafer in a small housing. Microscopic contrast technique: Incident differential interference contrast. Magnification 80x when printed 10 centimetres wide.
