For golf greens, tees, cricket pitches and other fine turf surfaces. £4200 +VAT While EnglandÕs footballers are not exactly proving to be a cut-above-the-rest, one of our most iconic machines will continue to fly the flag for England at every one of this yearÕs World Cup games in Brazil. Chosen for their quality and reputation Dennis lawn mowers are said to be Ôthe Rolls Royce of mowersÕ. After being slected to supply mowers to all 12 World Cup stadiums, the company sent their own team out to Brazil to train contractors how to use their machines. Each one of the thirty G860 cylinder mowers sent to Brazil is made from 600 parts and takes 14 hours to build at the companyÕs factory in Kirk Langley, Derbyshire. With a cutting width of 34 inches and a horse power Honda engine each machine comes with an eight-bladed cutting cassette and a tungsten tipped verticutter. They retaill at £6540 plus VAT. Dennis began making lawn mowers in 1922. Originally based in Guildford, Surrey, the mowers were once made alongside fire engines, buses and lorries of the same name. Customer Manager, Roger Moore said: ÒYou can always recognise a Dennis mower . They are similar to the original machines but obviously things do change over time with technology. "They are known as the Rolls-Royce of mowers because of the history, the quality of the build, the longevity of the machines, the quality of the cut that they give as well. ÒThe machines in Brazil cut the grass using an eight blade cutting cylinder cassette, and they have a tungsten tipped verti-cutter, which basically grooms the grass, helping it to stand more upright so you get a better cleaner cut. ÒWe do an attachable seat, but they didnÕt go for that in Brazil C theyÕre walking behind the machines. Each Dennis mower is very specialzed. Ranging in price from £2250 to nearly £10,000 +VAT, they are used all over the world. ÒThey are bought
