Prehistoric necklace. Necklace of artefacts recovered from the Hypogeum of Hal-Saflieni in Malta. This necklace was reconstructed from objects found close to each other at the site. Personal ornaments during the Neolithic period were mostly made out of stones, bones and shells. The Hal-Saflieni site dates from around 2500 BC.
