Leaf-mimic bush-cricket. View of the upper side of a bush-cricket (Cycloptera speculata) with its wings spread. The wings of this insect closely resemble dead leaves, helping it to camouflage itself in the rainforest where it lives. This specimen was found in Amazonian Ecuador, and has a wingspan of 13cm.
