The Stone Flower Fountain Under the Beautiful Puffy Clouds in Summer. VDNKh, Moscow, Russia.
Warm sunlight sparks water jets and semi-precious stones and smalt of the “Stone Flower” fountain on the grounds of former All-Union Exhibition Center (VDNKh) at the end of wonderful summer day with blue sky and puffy clouds. The fountain is the one of the most beautiful and the biggest fountain in Russia built at VDNKh in 1954. Soviet architects used the name and shape of this fountain with its divine beauty from Urals fairy tales by Pavel Bazhov. It’s surface is decorated with semi-precious stones from the Ural mountains, and smalt. When working, the fountain sprouts out 2,000 liters of water per second through 1,000 jets.
