Many funerals, as well as an unusual number of graduates, make the demand for flowers extraordinarily heavy. Stock is plentiful. The market is flooded with carnations. Sweet peas are much in demand, but most growers have pulled them to make room for chrysanthemums. Eoses are rather scarce, but such flowers as delphiniums, cornflowers, etc., are substituted. Various Notes. E. D. Ludwig has returned from Chi- cago. He had been there several days on business. Leo Miller left for California with the Democratic delegation from here. More than 200 varieties of iris and Seonies from the Wing Seed Co., [echanicsburg, O., were on display June 17 to 19 at the Miller-Kelton studio. The exhibition was brought here by El- wood & Frye, landscape architects. There were garden models in clay and an expert landscape architect was pres- ent to answer all questions on gardening. T. J.
