The new Masonic Temple, cor. Broad and Filbert Sts.,is a sohd granite structure in the Norman style, 250 ft. long, 150 ft. wide, and 90ft. high, with a tower at one corner 230 ft. high. The porch is especially fine, andthe whole Temple is richly ornamented. It contains several large halls finished invarious styles of architecture, Corinthian, Doric, Egyptian, Ionic, Oriental, Norman,and Gothic. The numerous Marlcets of Philadelphia are many of them noteworthyfor their great extent and admirable appointment. The largest are on Market near Ledpti- Buildin 28 HAND-BOOK OF AMERICAN CITIES.
