Egyptian Fields of the Dead

This scene is taken from the Papyrus of Ani, a copy of the Egyptian Book of the Dead that dates to the 19th Dynasty. It shows Ani worshiping. The god Thoth introduces Ani into the presence of three gods. Ani worships the sun god Re (also spelled Ra) before two altars and carries lotus flowers. It also shows him plowing and reaping in the Fields of the Dead through which water flows.
