NANTES 6 1 70 An excellent variety for the home garden. Top small. Root bright orange, cylindrical, blunt ended. Flesh reddish orange, crisp, tender, and of delicate flavor. For heavy or stony soils. Root thick, stumpy, blunt ended. Flesh coarse, yellowish orange. Top relatively short but strong. 2V2 72 RED CORE CHANTENAY 5 2 72 A desirable Chantenay for canners and market gardeners. Root somewhat shorter than regular Chantenay; flesh reddish orange, with indistinct core of nearly the same color. RED CORE DANVERS (SsS) y An attractive long strain developed at our Pacific Coast breeding station. Root tapered to a blunt end, bright orange with core of very similar color, tender, and of fine quality. White Belgian 12 3 95 For stock feed. Grows partly out of ground: skin green above ground, white below. Flesh creamy white. Yellow Belgian 12 3 95 Very similar to White Belgian, except for color. Pale yellow flesh, with green shoulder; hardy and productive.
