An Italian crab-hilt sword, 1st half of 17th century. Both sides of the blade with double fullers on the lower third struck with several cross marks. Typically shaped quillons with screw-mounted shell-guard and flanged edges. Grip with fine wire winding and Turk's heads. Fluted cylindrical pommel. The surfaces cleaned and slightly pitted.
