Sunrise at Vadso in northern Norway

This sixty metre tall mast was constructed in 1926 by Italian engineer Umberto Nobile. It was used as a mooring mast for the airships "Norge" and "Italia" prior to embarking on expiditions to the North Pole led by Poald Admundsen
