We know that this is a largesum ; but we trust that the results of wise womens work in connec-tion with it will prove the investment to have been a good one. Inconnection with the foreign ladies, two Japanese have been employedin teaching. As is to be expected among tlie Japanese, great changeshave taken place among the scholars. Three of the girls have professed addition to direct school work, systematic labor has been expendedon the children of the neighborhood.
