Oxford Brookes University 'A' team hopes of the 'double double' were decimated by their opposition from the University of Washington, USA. The Huskies never let the Brookes boat get ahead and put together a masterclass that broke every timing record. Brookes never stopped attacking and as such Washington had to pull out all the stops in order to break the Barrier record by one second, Fawley by four seconds and the course record by five seconds.
