In July, 1 888, he married Miss Maud Forbes,daughter of Alexander Forbes of San Rafael,and by her has two children, Maud and Ed;^ar Forbes. He has always refused public office, but has steadfastly endeavored to promote the publicgood. He has successfully practiced his profession in this state for thirty years.
