Geminid meteor shower, Tenerife. Time-exposure, fish-eye lens image of meteor trails in the night sky over Teide Observatory and Teide volcano. The Geminids are a meteor shower that occurs annually in December. It is caused by debris from an object named 3200 Phaethon, thought to be an extinct comet.
