St Martin's Church, Stamford; 15th Century Stained Glass

Much of the 15th century stained glass in St Martin's was originally in the Priory Church in Tattershall, Lincolnshire. It was given to Lord Burghley by Lord Fortescue who owned the avowson of Tattershall and installed in Bughley Hall, Warick Castle Chapel and St Martin's. The scheme in the east window by William Peckitt of York was installed in 1759-60.
