How-ever, he ran up against some opposition in theperson of Charley Steel, atBenwood, and wasforced to abandon the idea because of not beingable to secure a hostler for the suggested a man for the position butCriswell claimed that his scheme would notwork out unless he had someone to handle theelephants who knew more than the Agent L. Lloyd was inthe service of the Coal and Coke Railway forabout eight years, and was taken over by theBaltimore and Ohio last year, with other fix-tures. He is noted for his strictattention to business, his politeness and pro-gressive spirit.
