A kinno-to,Japan,late Edo or early Meiji period,dated 1868. Blade shinogi-zukuri,o-kissaki,very slight torii-zori. Hamon with thin suguha without hataraki. O-maru boshi with deep kaeri,ko-itame hada. Kesho polish. Nakago with three mekugi-ana,sujikai yasurime,inscribed "Matsuyama Ju Oda Muneyoshi Saku,Keio Shi Nen Gatsu Hi"(1868,fourth year of Keio = first year of Meji). Silver-plated copper habaki. Mokko tsuba of iron,portrayal of Shoki chasing an oni. Fuchi-kashira of iron with leaf decoration in gold nunome.
