In 1890 he was ordaineda Seventy by Pres. Christian D. Fjeld-sted and set apat as a president of thenth quorum of Seventy. In 1895-97 hefilled a mission to Scandinavia, labor- 398 LATTER-DAY SAINT ing as a traveling Elder in the Copen-hagen conference and later as presi-dent of the Aarhus conference. Dur-ing his i)i-«sidency in Aarhus, he reor-ganized three branches (Horsens, Silke-borg and Grenaa). which had been dis-. was constantly thrown into the com-pany of wicked men, he kept himselfpure and led a virtuous life. April 27,1S79, he married Miss Sariah J. Ra-leigh, daughter of Bishop Alonzo , having previously been or-dained an Elder, Dec. 21, 1884, he wasordained a Seventy by Lorenzo Huns-aker and became identified with therth quorum; subsequently he became apresident of said quorum. For manyyears he labored as a Ward Teacherin the Park Valley Ward, became anofficer in the Y. M. M. I. A., and super-intendent of the Park Valley Sundayschool. In 1899 he was called on amission to the Eastern States, fromwhich he has not yet returned.
