C, and the younghybrid plants were grown until they reached the size of 6 or 8 inchesin height, when they were shipped to Miami, Fla., and planted in theDepartments Subtropical Garden at that place, where they have beengrown and fruited. The first seeds were planted in the summer of1897, and the seedlings grown from these seeds gave their first fruitsin 1901.
