JACKSONVILLE, Fla. (Oct. 16, 2018) – Timothy Schwartz, a medical assistant at Naval Hospital Jacksonville’s family medicine clinic, takes a patient’s temperature. Schwartz, a native of Cerritos, California, says “I enjoy supporting military medicine as both a civilian medical assistant and as a Navy Reserve hospital corpsman. It brings me no greater joy than to continue to serve our men and women in uniform every day!" Oct. 15 - 19 is Medical Assistants Recognition Week, recognizing the vital role of medical assistants in health care.
