Beautiful Yellowstone NP Canyon River Lower Falls. Over 2 million visitors from worldwide come to Yellowstone as tourists. Geysers, hot pots and springs, lakes, river and Old Faithful is an international draw for travel destination. Beautiful and powerful environmental geology. The Yellowstone River Grand Canyon is 24 miles long, between 800 and 1,200 ft deep. The Upper Falls are 109 feet high, the smaller of two waterfalls and the Lower Falls are 308 feet tall. There are are numerous vantage points for viewing the falls including a brink view from immediately above the top of the river falls. Colors are due to geothermal activity and mineral deposits.
