A Bixbee Rogers is said to be one of the petitioners, 13 Sept., 1796, from Luzerne Co., Susquehanna papers (No. 185) in Conn. I have found by a perusal of the Town Recordsthat Roger Bixby was admitted to the citizenship in the State ofVermont, and took oath at Barre, 3 Sept., 1800. Roger Bixbysproperty was conveyed to Casper and Alvin Bixby. Casperconveyed his interest to Alvin and Alvin finally disposed of hisas stated above 7 Oct., 1858. Referring to the records of births,deaths and marriages, I do not find any reference whatever to thoseearlier settlers.
