Shoes and wedgesare completely finished at one setting ready to be placed onthe engine and laid off. The illustrations show the construc-tion of the turret head which provides for planing both sidesof the work at one time. Both the inside and outside ofshoes and wedges are finished in one operation and the singletool mounted in the straight arm is used for finishing surfaces. Steel shoes and wedges are being fin-ished in this manner for 9 to 11 cents each.
