A model 1843/47 mirliton for ensigns,of the Hussar Regiment von Zieten. Felt body wound with exterior black,interior red cloth strips,black-and-white edge cord. Leather top,convex chinscales on long screws,field insignia,leather liner. Mirlitons with the special black-and-white cording for ensigns(silver for officers)are extremely rare. The chinscales were allowed from 1847.
