Stay bolts have been replaced by staysheets, A stay sheet is interposed between each adjacent setof channel sections and is securely held thereto by the samerivets which fasten these sections together. These stay sheetsare partially cut out or perforated through the water spacein order to afford ample opening through which the watermay pass to establish horizontal circulation.
