= Gate Church of Joseph Volotsky on a Summer Day = The elegant and attractive gateway church of Joseph Volotsky in Pavlovskaya Sloboda on a hot summer day in July. The temple was built in present time and designed in the spirit of the architecture of the 17th century. It was laid in 2008, and on May 23, 2010, on the day of the celebration of the Holy Trinity, five crosses were consecrated, which were raised and erected on the heads of the temple. A beautiful temple-chapel is located above the southern gates and, together with the already built temples of Sts. Royal Passion-Bearers, a library with a chapel of Sts. Methodius and Cyril, the parish house and the refectory is an architectural complex that emphasizes the uniqueness of the Church of the Annunciation - a monument of Russian church architecture of the 17th century. The gate church was built in honor of the monk Joseph of Volotsk who recently begun to be especially venerated in the parish of the Annunciation Church of Pavlovskaya Sloboda. This new temple was built in the spirit of the churches of the 17th century, and its variegated colors, apparently, were borrowed from the old Moscow church of St. Nicholas the Wonderworker in Khamovniki.
