The College of West Anglia was founded in 1894 as the King's Lynn Technical School ('The Tech') and was renamed as Norfolk College of Arts and Technology (NORCAT) in 1973. It then merged with the Cambridgeshire College of Agriculture and Horticulture in 1998 to become the College of West Anglia (CWA). Isle College in Wisbech has since also been amalgamated in 2006. Under the name of University Centre West Anglia, the College is a partner centre for Anglia Ruskin University providing degree courses.
