Old cannons pointing at St Erik Domkyrka ( Cathedral ) from the Castle ramparts, Uppsala, Uppland, Sweden.


The Cathedral was commenced circa 1270, finally consecrated 1435, almost completely destroyed by fire in 1702, was restored by Carl Hårleman and was further restored between 1885 and 1893 by Helgo Zetterwall, who added the spires. The Castle was commenced by Gustav Vasa in mid 16 th century.
