The Old Packhorse Bridge over the3 Goyt

This packhorse bridge in the upper Goyt Valley of the Derbyshire Peak District is a well known landmark to walkers. The bridge, however, was not originally built at this scenic location. Instead, it originally came from what is now a submerged village under Fernilee Reservoir farther down the Goyt Valley. The stones were removed before the waters came flooding in and were reassembled at the current site. Well, at least we can all see the original bridge.
