In 1801, he was an incorporator of theMorris Turnpike Co. In 1806, he held a similar position in theturnpike company which built the road from Morristown, viaChester, to Easton, Pa. In 1812, he was elected Jvistice of thePeace. In 1814, he was president of the Morris Fire 1816, he subscribed $200 to the fund raised to purchase theMorristown Green (a park). In 1816
