Masons Ironstone jug with snake handle 1830


Miles mason retired in 1813, and handed over to his sons George William, and Charles James. They acquired the patent of English porcelain and called their wares Patent ironstone china, making large dinner sets, garden seats,fire surrounds, jugs with Japan pattern and snake handles in sets of 14, and many useful wares . The jug example photographed dates from 1830.
