EMILE ROUX


Photo essay. Pasteur Institute, Paris, France. Bust of Emile Roux (1853-1993), French doctor and researcher. Colleague of Louis Pasteur, he participated to his works about rabies ; he also did researches about anthrax (anthrax vaccine), cholera, diphteria (anti-diphteria serum), tetanos, tuberculosis and syphilis. He was named director of the Pasteur Institute in 1904 and remained so until his death.
