Kooyman & Co. state that their bulb sale has been quite successful, es- pecially as the weather is now excellent for planting. Mr. Kooyman is prepar- ing various assortments of bulbs for Christmas gift purposes. The E. W. McLellan Co. is almost out of roses this week, as it is cropping for Christmas. This firm will have its first freesias for the holiday season. The agency for decorative baskets made locally has 1)0(mi secured by J. A. Axell, who has an attractive line of sam- ples in pastel shades. The manufacturer has recently started here. Enomoto & C!o h;ive received a large shipment of dried lotus from Japan, which they are having ])!iinted for their trade. Mr. Enomoto states that he has a largo demand for this lotus for decora- tive ])urposes. Doinoto Bros, have just received a 8hi])ment of new mats from Japan. The United Flower & Supply Co. has a new stock of checked, parti-colored Japanese mats, suitable for wrapping flower pots for house plants. Five cases of Japanese lotiis^ of the largest kind, have just arrived. The Art Floral Co., in addition to its attractive baskets, is showing some fine combinations of C.'ilifornia oranges and dried fruits with its flowers. The fruit is packed in baskets and miniature packing-cases, suitable for gift purposes. Joseph's had the large table decora- tions for tlie luncheon recently tendered to U. S.
