The Albatross has collected this species at the following localities, besides those cited by Faxon: Off San Diego, 822 and 623 fathoms, stations 2923, 2929. Gulf of California, 857 and 1005 fathoms, stations 3009, 3010. Off Cape San Francisco, Ecuador, 401 and 741 fathoms, stations 2792, 2793- Galapagos Islands, 634 and 392 fathoms, stations 2808, 2818. Genus Gennadas Bate. GENNADAS BOREALIS Rathbun. Gennadas borealis Rathbun, Free. U. S. Nat. Mus., xxiv, 8S7, 1902. Submembranous, glabrous. Rostrum reaching at least half-way along the eye-stalk, sometimes to the cornea, armed with a single tooth, carina very distinct nearly to the posterior border of the cara- pace, but sharpest in front of the cervical groove.
