The cotton crop is developingin the Province comparatively quickly, and the intention of startingthe new farm at Dera Ismail Khan, which is a more suitable dis-trict, deserves to be mentioned. I am convinced that with due atten-tion to seed and plant selection the ginning outturn, which is excep-tionally low, could be increased. Perhaps the services of a Botanistmight be of use. The farm has been excellently laid out by Mr. Students in the Planet Junior Hand Hoe Competition at an agriculturalshow in the North West Frontier Province. Robertson Brown, and the fruit experiments do him great farm has a racecourse, where the farmers congregate now andthen to devote themselves to sports, such as tent-pegging, racing,&c, of which they are very fond. This is one way in which to attractthe cultivators to the demonstration farm, and to teach them improvedmethods. The cotton prospects in this Province are decidedly bright. INDIAN COTTON.
