The Museum of Military Glory in Kolomna, Russia

The Museum of Military Glory in Kolomna, Russia, was inaugurated on the 7th May 2010 on the eve of the 65th anniversary of the Victory in World War II. The facade is made of red glass, like the Banner of Victory. This facade symbolizes the victory over fascism, and reminds us of the millions who have given their lives for the motherland. At the entrance of the museum an alarm bell is sounded regularly. The following words are inscribed on it "Live and Remember. May 9, 2010. The bell was cast in commemoration of the Great Patriotic War and Victory. " For more than 30 years this museum was inside the Church of Peter & Paul just across the park, but in early June 2009 all items were moved to its current location.
