Gas filtration and compression system, where the gas collected from the city landfill site is heated and pressurised to three and a half bar before it is fed to Ulstein Bergen AS's spark ignited lean burn gas engine, which has a total electrical output is over 1MW, and in addition 60% of the heat generated by the engine (1660kW) is used by a nearby agricultural college with the remainder being sold commercially.
