Cpl. Charles Gazaway, assigned to Marine Attack Squadron (VMA) 214, applies tape before painting stars on the vertical tail fin of an AV-8B Harrier aircraft in memory of the squadron's original 12 pilots in the hangar bay of the amphibious assault ship USS Bonhomme Richard (LHD 6). Bonhomme Richard is the flagship for the Bonhomme Richard Amphibious Ready Group and, with the embarked 31st Marine expeditionary Unit (31st MEU), is conducting routine joint-force operations in the 7th Fleet Area of Responsibility.
