Wheat being combined in Surrey

Combining wheat in Reigate Surrey, The farm Charringtons moved on today after combining their Barley to one of their wheat fields which was well ahead of normal, by probably at least a week, this is due to the unusually dry Jume we have had. The Crop was clearly ready to cut but unfortunately due to yesterday's rainfall and the lack of Sunshine today, the moisture content was too high at around 19% and so will probably be dry enough assuming we have no more rain, in a few days time. They hope the Yeild will be tonnes per acre. Contractors Carring out the work are S&J osbourne. The wheat variety is is a Claas Lexion 530 with a V660 header.
