Our mem-bers individually deserve the greatest praise for themany patient hours they have given to this are forming a bowling club to send to Daytonthis Summer, our members are turning out in goodlynumbers every week at the alleys of the Y. The receiving and delivery canvas sup-ports are hinged, and may be readily folded; and asthe whole construction is on trucks it may be movedfrom place to place as occasion requires. The canvas beds are about four feet wide andconsist of an endless chain on either side, to whicliare attached at a distance of about ten Incnes. strongsticks and to these, with a pocket between each twosticks, is fastened the canvas. The sod, or soil, is banked about two reel deep inthe Fall, and in the Spring about ten inches ofmanure is spread on top; and when wanted for usethe machine is driven up and the material forkedon to the receiving bed, and when it reaches thewagon it is thoroughly composted ai a wonderfulsaving of time. By a clever arrangement the knifeis so regulated by a lever that the soil may be mixedin three grades—
