According to Ofgem's October price cap announcement, prices are expected to rise by up to 80%. The price cap for October will be determined, however it is estimated to be around £3,500 for a typical home. Fuel prices are also expected to rise in Scotland, with some stations selling petrol for more than £2 per litre, making Scotland the most expensive in the UK.
