Thefirst band, under Sister Mary Anne, wereSisters: Flavian, Justina, Edward, Mar-tha, Loretta, Evarista, Anastasia, andGermaine. The year after Sisters Marce-lina de Margaret and in 1888 Sister Mad-eline were added to the teaching 1889 Sister Clara became superior but was succeeded in the fall of 1903 by Sis-ter Ambrosia. Father Menard severed his connectionwith the parish June 11, 1895. Duringhis administration he witnessed a phenom-enal growth of the congregation, not onlyamong the French but German and Irish
