In order that neither the operator nor the patient may receive shocksdue to sparks jumping from the tube to any part of the stand, a terminalis mounted on the pedestal, which is connected with all the metalparts of the stand, and also with the accessories, which are inserted inthe front opening of the box through the metal strip which rmis alongthe tube-box. This terminal must be connected to a water-pipe by means.
