Overlooking waters where Coast Guard-manned invasion craft discharged troops and supplies on the French coast, this German gun emplacement has walls of concrete 13 feet thick and four guns each with a 10 1/4" inch bors. Its secondary battery consisted of 88s. This particular position was bombed our of action by Allied fliers.
