The 17th century Savior Gate (Spasky Gate) at the Kolomenskoye Estate in Moscow, Russia
The Saviour (Spassky) Gate was constructed in the 1670s together with the walls of the Tsar’s Courtyard. It used to be the second main entrance (after the Front gate) to the territory of the Tsar’s Courtyard. Except for its roof the gate looks almost like it did more than 300 years ago. From September 2001 till October 2002 restoration works were conducted according to the technology of the 17th century.
