Small manmade weir in the Ribeira Quente at Furnas

This is a selection of photos of a series of seven low head weirs in the Ribeira Quente river running through Furnas on San Miguel island in the Azores. The weirs are partly broken, which conversely might reduce their effectiveness in making pools but will make them more passable for migrating fish.
