Gornergrat Station with its famous cog railway is the exciting destination for thousands of skiers each day in the winter. In the summer thousands of sightseers and walkers pass through it to admire the stunning views of the glaciers and peaks. The trip from Zermatt takes approaching an hour and as the train makes an ascent from 1600m to 3000m. Every view along the way is breathtaking but somehow the one from the station beats all.
